![]() The Grand Geneva Resort and Spa in Lake Geneva will host the Wisconsin Fall Tourism Convention beginning Nov. 4. (Read the full story in the e-edition HERE.) LAKE GENEVA — Tourism organizations and businesses from throughout Wisconsin will gather in Lake Geneva Nov. 3-4 for the Wisconsin Fall Tourism Convention. The convention, themed “Think Grand,” will be held at the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa and feature the latest trends and issues affecting one of the state’s top industries. The 16th annual convention, hosted by the Wisconsin Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus (WACVB), kicks off with a keynote address titled “The Top Technology Trends Transforming Tourism, Destinations, Events and Society — and How to Prepare for Them!” Internationally recognized technology expert Corbin Ball will give the keynote presentation. Convention breakout sessions will cover such topics as social media, visitor economic impact research and public relations. On Nov. 4, Wisconsin Department of Tourism Secretary Stephanie Klett will address attendees on how the state agency is marketing Wisconsin tourism. She also will join WACVB and sponsor Wisconsin Trails magazine in presenting the annual Wisconsin Tourism Trailblazers Awards. The awards are given to tourism organizations that have executed outstanding marketing and partnership projects in the past year.
